Posting With Gritted Teeth!!!

Hi my lovelies!  There has been no card posted for over a week now and will not be for the foreseeable I'm afraid and I will explain why . . . if technology will allow of course!

First, it was a three full day Migraine that kept me from doing anything, now, for the last four or five days it has been technology!  I do not know whether it is to do with my internet connection, my PC, or just amount of internet traffic, but it has been very very trying!

Whenever I try to go to a web page - or do anything really - it goes around and around forever and finally comes up with the 'Problem loading page' sign!

Believe me, when it says 'Try Again', I have . . . and again . . . and again!!

Now, on top of that we are away again (to the same place as last time) without internet (which at the moment is only a good thing) from 28th August to the 25th September, so there will be no posts then (except for ones already scheduled)

I can only apologise and hope that you will all bear with me and be there when I get back - if I am able to post before then I will - I am now keeping everything crossed that I am able to post this before it times out again!

  1. Migraines are no fun!!...Glad you're feeling better! And oh the technology!...I can't tell you how many times I've been there! Sometimes technology is not my friend! lol...Hope you figure things out and everything starts working for you!

  4. Oh no! Migraine is just evil and for so long too. As for technology, I'd say it was your internet connection. I'd try your supplier when you are back. We had something similar about a year ago and we had to reset everything. Worked perfectly since then. Good luck and have a great holiday. We will be here when you return! Xx

  5. So sorry Hazel to read about your migraine. Hope it's all gone now. I've had those problems too and sometimes still have them. With me it's my internet connection. We have a regular land line phone + Digital TV + computer internet all in one pack and on one line. What helps for me because our supplier said everything was fine, which indeed was when he came to test it. (You will always have that won't you) So what helps me is to unplug the whole lot and then it reboots. I give it time to start up again and then it works just fine. Maybe this could help you too ?   8. I'm so sorry that you have those dreaded migraines Hazel. I know how miserable they are to deal with, mine would last for a week at a time. I don't miss them at all! I have been having some problems with technology too. When I go to some sites, I get the same as you do, unable to load the page. It's frustrating to say the least, but I have no clue what the problem is. I guess it isn't our pc's because I'm getting it too. Not on every site I go too, but on enough of them that it makes it very frustrating. I hope you have a good time being away and can get this off your mind for a while. Better to tackle it with a fresh outlook! Hugs, Brenda

  9. Hazel, I don't believe it but I keep having the same problem with my computer too!!!!! Most nights I sit down to catch up on commenting with challenges and people's blog posts and after I type out my comment, I hit enter and get that message. Its so frustrating!!! Its either that or the same message shows where the comment box should be before I've even started. My husband kept saying it was the computer (as its very old) but I thought it must be Blogger or the internet. And if you get that too, then it must be some sort of system error. I wish I could tell you how to fix it but I don't know how to fix it for myself even. Seems to happen more at night, maybe its the internet traffic but its the only time I have sometimes to catch up. I hope when you come back from holiday its all working fine and if you find an answer to this problem, please let me know, and I will do the same!!

  10. My thanks to everyone for your kind words and support. It is both frustrating that a lot of you are having the sane technical difficulties as I am, but at the same time it is perversely comforting to know I am not alone. However, I do feel that there is something wrong with my computer as it is not only the internet I am having trouble with. There are a lot of things freezing on me and things are taking forever to open . . . and so on. I won't bore you lovely people with all the details, so all I can say is have a great upcoming weekend!   11. Oh my, Hazel!!!! So sorry to hear that you suffer from migraines, my friend!!! I hope that it has gone and that you are fine by now!!!! And as for the technology - what a pain and how frustrating!!!! Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, but I hope it will be sorted out soon!!!!
    Going on another trip - how awesome is that!!!!! Enjoy and relax - we are going to miss you!!!!!

  12. When this happens to my computer, I just restart it and it is usually fine after that (it just wants to re-fresh I guess). Praying your migraine goes away quickly.
